I have always wanted to be  a professional photographer. Ever since I have started down that road my favorite model is my little sis. She is so gorgeous and she is finally graduating from high school and I am very privileged to be able to take her senior pictures. Here are a few of them and I promise there will be many more of this gorgeous girl!

Be Drunk

Be Drunk

You have to be always drunk. That's all there is to it--it's the 

only way. So as not to feel the horrible burden of time that breaks 

your back and bends you to the earth, you have to be continually drunk.

But on what?Wine, poetry or virtue, as you wish. But be drunk.

And if sometimes, on the steps of a palace or the green grass of 

a ditch, in the mournful solitude of your room, you wake again, 

drunkenness already diminishing or gone, ask the wind, the wave, 

the star, the bird, the clock, everything that is flying, everything 

that is groaning, everything that is rolling, everything that is 

singing, everything that is speaking. . .ask what time it is and 

wind, wave, star, bird, clock will answer you:"It is time to be 

drunk! So as not to be the martyred slaves of time, be drunk, be

continually drunk! On wine, on poetry or on virtue as you wish.

          In this poem by Charles Baudelaire it is talking about always being "drunk," but is he really talking about being literally drunk? In our class discussion we came to the conclusion that what he is talking about is being passionate about something.  In my opinion, it is very important to  be passionate about something. Without passion, life has no meaning.  It reminds me of a quote I have heard "if you do something that you love, you will never work a day in your life."  If you talked to someone that loves what they do for a living and someone who doesn't you will find that the person who loves what they do is an all around happier person in all aspects of their life, and the person that does not like their job has more of a negative attitude toward life and is not happy.  I also think that being passionate about something has a little to do with someones personality.  If you have ever heard of the Color Code, a system that classifies different people and puts them into a color.  I am a Blue and blues tend to be more passionate, and emotional about life in general, where a White personality is more laid back and takes life as it comes at them. One of the things that I have a passion for is Photography. The picture above is one that I took of my little sister.  When ever I am taking pictures I feel so happy.  It is something that I do to please no one but myself.  If I had nothing in my life to be passionate about life would feel empty and boring.
